A Big Sister's Mission
Reintegrating into civilian life can be overwhelming for veterans seeking purpose and support. For Rebecca Chalson, this struggle became personal when she lost her Navy veteran brother to suicide.
He once shared how hard it was to find and connect with helpful resources after service. In his memory, Rebecca created this directory—to serve as a "big sister" to those facing the same challenges and ensure no veteran feels alone navigating life after service.

A Call To Action
Benjamin Toci served in the Navy from 2015 to 2021 as a Tactical Tomahawk Weapon Control System Operator aboard the USS Russell. Just 18 months after returning home, he tragically lost his life to suicide on June 27, 2022, at only 30 years old.
Despite seeking help, Benjamin struggled to access the support he needed. The system was difficult to navigate, leaving him feeling lost.
A deep thinker, fierce protector, and servant at heart, Benjamin believed in speaking up for truth. In his honor, we are calling on civilians, advocates, and leaders to step up as veteran resource connectors—because no hero should struggle alone.
It’s not just kindness; it’s our civic duty.
